that will necessitate the closing of the old
Shaukiwan Road. Until he purchased the "blue area" (-area "A" plus area "C" plus the proposed road
between "A" and "C") and area "B" there was no
intention to close the old road, and it could not have been closed against his will without full compensation to him. When he heard of the proposed
new 100 foot road he became very anxious for a
frontage on that road, but he could have neither a legal nor a moral claim of any kind on this ground. Unfortunately, he appears to have a genuine though an unreasonable sense of grievance on this road frontage point which, unless removed from his mind by reasoning, will make it difficult to satisfy him on other parts of the case in which his complaints may have more moral foundation.

Nullah: I have dealt with the nullah
complaint in Note No. 2 which is annexed to this
minute. There seems to be nothing in it.
It is strange that Mr. Davidson never mentions the fact that Mr. Kwik was to be paid $24,000, the estimated cost of this "addition to his obligations". He was in fact credited eventually with $31,837.80 in respect of this work and he accepted that figure.
7. Lay-out and Delay: I admit that I have not gone fully into these two points, partly because it would have involved calling for a number of plans which it would probably have taken time to trace.
